Royal Madikwe offers the perfect luxury destination for families and groups of friends wanting more than just space in a lodge, but rather a lodge that is their own private space. Madikwe is a Malaria Free area.
The Main Lodge...
The main lodge offers a Curio Shop, Main Lounge, Dining room, Library and Wine Cellar, Cigar Lounge, Indoor and Outdoor Bar, Boma, Viewing Deck, TV Lounge, Kids Play Room, Main Pool and a variety of elevated decks, all overlooking our well frequented Water Hole.
Internet access via satellite, DSTV & fax use is also available upon request.
The Suites...
Crisp cool linen meets indigenous dark wood to create your luxurious suite. A log burning fire for cool African evenings, and private plunge pool for hot summer days. An exclusive space provides peace and tranquillity.
Royal Madikwe can accommodate 10 guests with the following suite options:
All the rooms boast en-suite bathrooms, Indoor & outdoor shower, a private plunge pool and an elevated sun deck.
The Luxury Family Suite, situated within the Main Lodge consists off 1 Twin Room with en-suite Shower Room and 1 Double Room with en-suite Bath Room
Electricity supply throughout the lodge and suites is supplied at 220v.
Children...
We welcome children of all ages. Nanny services and separate "Bush Baby" Game Drives can be arranged prior to your arrival at the lodge. There is also a children’s TV room and a Children’s Menu.
Dining...
Indulge in an African feast complimented by the finest estate wines, and sit at a magnificent table under the canopy of stars.
Currency Payment within camp can be made with South African Rand, Travellers Cheques, Master Card or Visa Card.
Safety...
Safety Royal Madikwe is fenced but this does not mean that we can guarantee safety; we require that guests do not walk alone at night. A ranger will always be available to escort guests to and from their suites.
Health...
Madikwe is a Malaria Free area and therefore no anti malaria medication is required. Royal Madikwe does have Medical Emergency Cover with Med-Evac that will cover the evacuation and treatment of Medical Emergencies, however every case is determined individually and therefore no guarantees are given. We do advise that all guests take out personal travel insurance.
Your Stay...
Every Reservation is given complete exclusivity and private use of the Royal Madikwe Luxury Safari Residence. Royal Madikwe can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests with a variety of suite options. Our rate includes private return air transfers from Johannesburg into the reserve. Rates start at R24000, accommodating 1-4 guests. Thereafter the rate is an additional R6000 per person per night:

These rates are fully inclusive of private return charter flights from Johannesburg (Rand Airport) into the reserve, private road transfer from Johannesburg International Airport to Rand Airport, safari activities, accommodation, meals, local beverages, park entry fees and laundry. Our rate also includes an airport assistance service, which meets our guests directly off their international/domestic flight at Johannesburg Airport and escorts the party through immigration, baggage claim & customs and on to their awaiting private chauffer driven black Mercedes.
Excluded are any optional day trips, cellar wines, champagne & cigars. A 25% non-refundable deposit is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. Full and final payment is due 4 weeks prior to arrival.
